Cyber Essentials
A UK government-backed scheme, delivered by IASME, covering five technical controls: firewalls, secure configuration, security update management, user access control and malware protection. Assessed by self-assessment, verified by a certification body. The current question set is Danzell, which applies to accounts created from 27 April 2026.
Why it matters: it is the entry rung, and it is a condition of many public sector contracts.
