High-risk AI system
Under the EU AI Act, an AI system either used as a safety component of a product covered by Annex I product safety legislation, or falling within an Annex III use case such as biometrics, critical infrastructure, education, employment, essential services, law enforcement, migration or the administration of justice.
Why it matters: classification decides which obligations apply and when.
